4th Line Theatre's first production of the season is Queen Marie, a rag-to-riches musical comedy about the life and times of Hollywood star Marie Dressler. This Vaudeville silver-screen legend's life spanned from being born in Cobourg, to winning an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1931.

After the online ticket ordering system went down this morning, it became a scramble to purchase tickets for his upcoming September show. Some went down to the Memorial Centre to join the lineup, while others stuck to dialing the busy phone lines and persistently trying the Memorial Centre website. How did you fair? Kruz FM and The Wolf report this morning that Elton John is coming to Peterborough on Saturday, September 8th at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 25th at 10 a.m. for the concert, which takes place at the Memorial Centre. Tickets will be available at MemorialCentre.ca, the box office or by calling 705.743.3561. We have a feeling these tickets might go quickly.
